Welcome! We are Karen and Max!

Together we run Clever Fox Garden, a small urban greenhouse serving Cape Cod, MA.

We are happy to provide our customers with unique, high quality plants for their gardens.

We grow seriously burly plants that have a high chance of surviving harsh conditions.

We are located in grow zone 7a; your own may vary!

About Our Plants



Process


Our plants are heirlooms grown from seed or cloned from healthy specimens.

Plants start their lives indoors in a grow tent, and once strong they are moved outdoors to soak up the elements!

As they grow, we continue to raise them in containers with the highest standard of care, all the way to harvest, seed collection, and overwintering.

Because we fully raise our plants to end-of-life, they are ready for deployment at any time - ideal for replacement plants or seasonal decor.


Policies


No GMO!

We avoid genetically modified, bioengineered, and patented plants.

Non-GMO plants which go to seed will come back true and genetically diverse!

Embrace the wonderful diversity in heirloom plants!

No Pesticides!

Pesticides are harmful to all creatures!

When possible, we use companion plants and other methods to deter pests!

Though we grow organically, please inspect and wash all produce before eating.

Fertilizers OK!

Though we prefer organic methods, we do use industrial fertilizers.

Managed and applied properly, there is very little runoff and waste.

Our feeding schedule and rich composted dirt combine to supply you with the strongest and most perfect plants in the shortest amount of time.

Support Wildlife!

Urban locations can proudly provide an oasis for pollinators and beneficial insects in the city.

Large properties and managed estates may consider supporting local wildlife through edible plantings in key locations.

Reuse when Possible!

Waste not want not!

We compost, collect rainwater, clone plant trimmings, and reuse plastic as many times as possible.
